Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Awda is built to keep your worship private. The app is designed to work on your device, without an account, and without selling or sharing your information. This policy explains what that means in practice.
The short version
We don't ask you to create an account, we don't run ads, we don't use third-party trackers, and we don't sell your data. Your prayer history and settings live on your device.
Information stored on your device
Your Salah log, streaks, missed-prayer (Qada) counts, Menstrual Mode days, calculation preferences, and the apps you choose to pause are stored locally on your device. This information stays with you. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Location
Awda can use your location to calculate accurate prayer times for where you are. This calculation happens on your device. We don't store your location on our servers and we don't share it. You can also set your location manually instead of granting location access.
Screen Time & app pausing
Awda uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) to pause the apps you choose during each prayer window. Your app selections are handled privately by iOS — they are represented to the app as opaque tokens, and we do not see which specific apps you use.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Awda uses notifications to alert you to prayer times. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
Purchases
If Awda offers a paid subscription, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive or store your payment details.
Children
Awda is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
